I recorded the Espy show and finally watched it last night. The Tillman award wasn’t even shown on my recording. Espn you are a disgrace to those girls and the USA.

Rescue swimmers are actual daily heroes. You have to be the most badass of badass to do that daily. Every other person in that room was jealous and rightfully so.

I love how he made a shout out to the rest of the team, including the Army and other agencies involved. Many people do some amazing things all the time that goes uncredited. I witnessed one when I helped in a 5 vehicle car crash. One individual directed everything and I took orders from him. He knew what to do, what to say to us helping him while being calm and collected. He rendered aid to the injured as well, performed CPR on one of the victims. Once law enforcement and medical personnel arrived on scene, I didn’t see him anymore. Come to find out, he was a Civil Air Patrol 1st Lieutenant. I hope he received merit for his actions that day. But I feel like he didn’t care about being credited at all. He did what he had to do and he helped people that day, including a young girl’s life.

The blood you shed became the sea.
Your sweat has turned into the earth.
Your soul has become the sky.
    They finally defended their country.
I won’t forget the sacrifice for America!
