President Donald Trump said tonight the United States bombed “every military target” on Iran’s Kharg Island and threatened to attack the island’s oil infrastructure if Iran continues blocking ships from traversing the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon is deploying a Marine Expeditionary Unit to the Middle East, a rapid response unit typically comprised of around 2,500 Marines and sailors, three officials familiar with the matter told CNN.
Kharg Island is a five-mile-stretch of land off the Iranian coast that had seemingly been left untouched during the first two weeks of the war with Iran. The critical island handles roughly 90% of the country’s crude exports.

Iran’s defeat would be a defeat for China, Russia, and Turkey. It is in the interests of Russia, China, North Korea, Libya, and Afghanistan to send missiles to Iran. Iran will destroy the fuel infrastructure of US allies and the island of Khark if Trump occupies it
The USS Tripoli is currently moving through the Indian Ocean and was recently spotted south of Sri Lanka. The warship is heading toward the North Arabian Sea and is expected to reach the broader Middle East theatre around March 22-23. The USS Boxer is a couple weeks away. Together 5,000 Marines with all the suppor they need. Both Assault ships look like AirCraft Carriers. And both can assault from the air, so do not need to be in the Perisan Gulf for a preferred land assault. Will the UAE takes over the island after the assault? Iran just commiteed economic suicide – they won’t survive without it!
Trump to Xi:
“We’re going to take Kharg. We’re going to end the Iranian nuclear program. We’re going to restructure the Middle East. China’s oil supply will not be permanently disrupted. Venezuela is already secured as your backup supply. Once Kharg is under control the oil flows again — on terms we both accept. You stay out of the way. We handle the military operation. Everybody gets what they need.”
Xi to Trump:
“We cannot publicly support this. We will issue statements of concern. But we will not intervene. We will not supply Iran with weapons to fight back. We will not deploy naval assets. We will quietly tell Tehran that resistance is futile. And when it’s over we will buy the oil.”
So if the Marines take Khargh Island, do the Haliburton employees get sent over to work in the oil factories…🛢
