Ronny Chieng covers America’s 250th birthday festivities, which included Trump rattling off a list of U.S. inventions and a skydiver crashing to the music of “God Bless the U.S.A.” Plus, the president couldn’t help but meddle in the FIFA World Cup, where he personally intervened to challenge a red card against the U.S., accidentally defended birthright citizenship in the process, and got mocked by Belgian players doing his infamous “YMCA” dance. #DailyShow #WorldCup #Trump #RonnyChieng #America250

If USA would have lost 4-1 without Balogun, it would have been fine, a harsh defeat but understandable and it would still be a big feat going this far but trump just dragged the whole tournament through the mud for the USA team, all that hard work and it all comes down to ”they are cheaters”.
When trump intervened he just turned USA into a losing team either way, if they win its due to corruption and they cheated, if they lose ”oh what humiliation, they cheated to play with their best and still lost”.
From my point of view a 4-1 loss by USA if Balogun would have stayed suspended would have been better accepted than a 2-1 loss by revoking his red card.

This is a disgrace. If you don’t like the sport, don’t play it, but if you do, play it fair. We’ve already seen more unpenalized pushing and shoving this world cup than should be OK in soccer and now you’re gonna try to revoke the ones that were penalized, just because they go against your team?
