“Our style is very neutral and pretty minimal,” Shelby Girard says of her and her husband’s aesthetic. “But we love to add organic materials and texture. So while we keep a really natural palette with whites, creams, and ivory, I’ll add wood, cane, or jute to really warm things up.” Here, the VP of Creative & Design at Havenly tours BAZAAR around her newly-renovated 3000-square foot Connecticut dream home, breaks down her favorite pieces from CB2 and Restoration Hardware, and shows off the ultimate DIY modern kitchen renovation.

Very neutral, but very beautiful
Sorry, I’m not sure why this house was featured. I do love and appreciate minimalism and there were some pretty pieces showcased in just about every room, but the overall effect didn’t make me think that someone artistic or involved in design lives here. Overall, the home seems to lack personality.
