7:07 love how Dorothy is Genuinely happy for Blanche at the back when she said she’s goinf to sing. She don’t mean to steal the spotlight from Blanche. She doesn’t think of it as a competition but for Blanche, it is (which I think somehow is valid because she felt like Dorothy took over her happy place.) Anyway, I love this show.
I wish they let Sophia and Dorothy sing the entire I Got You Babe song.

14:00 oh my god Foxy Loxy is played by George Hearn, the Broadway star who sang I am what I am in la Cage aux Folles in the early eighties. This episode is from spring 1991, so he had already had that big success. La Cage was composed by Jerry Herman, and so was the musical Mame, in which Bea Arthur co-starred in the 60s.
Sonny and Cher scene from the three characters is a classic. All three did not break character.
Since I’m a kid watching with my grandmother, Dorothy saying “Help” as Turkey Lurky always took me out!
