This documentary spent too much time talking about stories we’ve known for decades and not enough time on the new Titanic wreck pics.

I couldn’t sleep. Went down a rabbit hole about the titanic. When the titanic sank The RMS Carpathia picked up the distress signal 58 miles away went full speed through an ice field to come save them. The SS Californian was between 10 and 19 miles away failed to help the Titanic due to a catastrophic combination of communication failures, missed signals, and poor judgment. I have a theory that is BS. What if someone on the titanic wanted that ship to crash into an iceberg. SS Californian was monitoring the titanic. Plans changed when they didn’t think about another boat picking up that signal. So they came up with excuses to cover up the plan of sinking the titanic with all these people on the boat. If that other boat never got that distress call. It would had been almost 3 days later where the location of the place it was going had people waiting. Than it would had taken a week for a way to send a message asking where is the titanic. It would had been headlines that the titanic went missing. The boat would had disappeared and the people on safety rafts would had starved and died before they started to go look for the titanic.

Sorry to see National Geographic resorting to cheesy post-production tricks on their programs now. They were great once.

What I hate is how Captain Smith is portrayed as a bad sailor. That he was speeding through an ice field. All which were untrue
