Robin Alvarenga De La Torre came into her parents’ world just before it was destroyed. Her family had lived in Altadena, California, for more than 40 years before the Los Angeles wildfires struck. Our journalists spent a year with the De La Torre family as they attempted to rebuild their homes and their lives.
