I just don’t know how a lawyer can defend someone who they know is guilty. This is what gives them a bad name
If a lawyer knows their client is guilty, they look for technicalities. Many suspects don’t even confess to their lawyer, so the lawyer’s job is to fight for a person they must conclude is innocent. If they don’t aggressively defend, a mistrial can be called upon appeal.
I couldn’t do it, that’s for sure.
It doesn’t matter if they are guilty. The whole point of a defendant having an attorney is to make sure that the prosecution proves their case. If the prosecution’s case can’t stand up against a rigorous defense then they shouldn’t be prosecuting the case. The purpose is so that the state doesn’t bring flimsy cases even if they think they know who committed the crime. It’s a slippery slope to a system where the state just makes up everything and doesn’t follow the rules. Pretty soon we’re reliving the Salem witch trials. We are living in a place where the government is all powerful and innocent people are sitting in prison.

I would think all thousand of those flex cuffs could easily all be shipped to the same store in the same town this crime was committed stores usually order bulk. I did not buy the flex cuff
