Hosts Dr. Alok Patel and Hunter Harris talk to Noah Wyle, who wrote this episode, about Dr. Robby’s relationships in The Pitt, and the final hours before Dr. Robby’s sabbatical. Emergency Rooms can not operate with just two 12 hour shifts. nO WEEKENDS? Is there a weekend crew? I’ll google it.
Plus, do they really do 5 – 12 hour shifts a week. I thought most do 3 or 4 days, so the weekend crew crosses over….like Fri, Sat Sun or Sat, Sun, Mon..??
Nearly every behind the scenes person of The Pitt interviewed on the podcast is either an immigrant or the child of immigrants. How has that combination of diversity and shared immigrant experience shaped the story and story telling of The Pitt? What has been added or detracted?
Thank you for finally having Noah Wyle in! I’d never watched him in ER years ago in that show at all but now I am to compare yesterday’s medicine with the Pitts modern. Noah Wyle has certainly grown to his peak as an actor. I’m riveted every week AND I watch every podcast. Can’t wait until season 3!
They all are, but this one made me very emotional at so many segments. Was worried for Dr. Langdon and proud it worked out, worried for Dr. Al-Hashimi now that need to wait for ep.15, worried for Robby and Danna’s depression, for Dr. Whitaker’s unstable life situation….and all the other characters, they are all amazing!
just hoping that langdon didn’t regress…
I really appreciated the scene about the ekg leads on the female patient. Women spend their lives being uncomfortable so one more thing really doesn’t make a difference in the big picture especially if it means we are going to be diagnosed and treated properly. Much love to the Pitt for realism. Love it from day one.
Hi..I think that everyone who watches the show should listen to this podcast..it is really phenomenal…I never realized all the work that goes into a show like this. Keep up the good work!
