Increasing revenue due to raising prices. You’d think that if the owners, er, teams, cared about the fans, they’d manage to use the sponsorship to freeze prices, but no, going to the rink is aimed more and more at the upper class.

Hi, I do not understand why the Scotia arena is a big deal? Because, in Canada hocket is very tied up with our society. Here in Montreal it is been long time that the owner of canadien Jeff Molson uses the club not only for hockey but in diversified business. It was built like this in fact. The club is not the business in Canada, it is the attraction to bring customer to all sorts of business. Here hockey is religion, it does not matter anymore to win the championship, arena is always full in Canada even if their club sucks, so the ligue do not care about the canadian club, they want american club win the Stanley Cup for new audience. Do not forget the increase of the fighting, it attracts many gen Z. Sorry

It’s being destroyed. The betting is throwing the game, the tickets are insanely priced, it’s being watered down and turned into a giant clown show for the “new audience”. Not to mention the woke nonsense. F Gary Bettman, Screw the corporate overtake, restore hockey.

I remember when it was superstition to not step on the team logo on the locker room floor. Now we disrespect the logo by stripping it from helmets in place of a gambling ad or car company logo. We deface our jerseys by putting brand logos, often in terribly distracting colors, in the spot where actual commemorative patches deserve to be. We believed the lie that this was only to make up lost revenue from the COVID seasons, but ultimately, it’s a slap in the face to all the fans that supported this league fromthe beginning, instead of just band-wagoning once it started getting trendy.

Are they really bragging about making the product worse for the fans because the overpaid owners and players make more? May as well bring in some private equity acquired company to brag about making the food smaller, more expensive and worse lol.

Imagine uploading this and being proud about it. Shoving gambling ads down our throats during the game. Capitalism run amok….destroying everything in our society….from the sports we love to watch, to our health, our families, our neighbourhoods. Luigi Mangione is only the beginning…you can stop one Luigi, but you won”t stop a million Luigi’s.

    Keep pushing us.
