The TARDIS arrives on the Moon in the year 2070, where a weather control station under the command of a man named Hobson is in the grip of a plague epidemic… which in reality is the result of an alien poison planted by the Cybermen!
All but two of the original 1967 master recordings of ‘The Moonbase’ were lost soon after the programme’s original transmission. However, audio-only recordings have survived and have been used to create a brand new fully animated reconstruction of this lost classic.
First Broadcast between the 11th February – 4th March 1967
Starring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor alongside Anneke Wills (Polly), Michael Craze (Ben Jackson) and Frazer Hines (Jamie McCrimmon).

dig the animation style in this Moonbase series. Very effective use of shadow and B&W contrast.
As someone who hasn’t seen all of the classic doctor who, I really appreciate your Channel😊. Up to and including Peter Capaldi, I have enjoyed the show. It’s has its ups and downs. What came after Capaldi is have no interest to me despite watching her first series and special. This channel brings me back to what the doctor originally was😊
I wonder what the Cybermen and Daleks would have thought of the Borg🤔
There’s something about this animation I found both very eerie and yet endearing. Like I’m watching an old sci-fo horror game made by LucasArts

The animated episodes are interesting to watch. They manage to capture everything from the lost episodes.
