What makes F1 and Indycar so different? I almost exclusively photograph Formula 1 but recently had the pleasure to try out being an Indycar photographer. While shooting an Indycar race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway I noticed some very obvious differences between F1 and Indycar. Plus I also spoke with a number of the Indycar drivers to get their thoughts on what makes Indycar so speacial.

These been a few F1 drivers that have won the 500……..none the other way
JPM was already an Indycar driver before moving to F1 and already won the 500 before moving
Villeneuve raced in CART before moving to F1
Mario Andretti was an Indycar driver before moving to F1
meanwhile, back at israel and the usa’s Genocide….
There really are no similarities between IndyCar and F1 besides both being wing cars.
Formula 1 drivers wouldn’t survive an Indy season
While I will watch some NASCAR races I prefer Indy Car. I don’t watch FI. It is to high tech and it seems that the team that spends the most on research and testing runs up front. The team with the deepest pockets win and not necessary the best driver.
