Not morally right to shame sex workers? Is it also wrong to shame a person who is publicly indecent and willfully chose to do that? It’s a shameful job position. They debase and disrespect themselves on the regular. It’s an unfortunate reality that people set the standards for themselves in in cases like that for how they’re going to be looked at and treated. Is it unfair? Maybe, but that doesn’t change the reality. Respect yourself and hold yourself with dignity if that’s how you want others to treat you. You’re not gonna get called a whore and a prostitute on the regular if you’re working a desk job in customer service somewhere… Sex work is low down and dirty. And we can’t change that. Let’s stop pretending here… Self accountability goes a long way.
I don’t think you should go out of your way to make them feel bad, but I’m just pointing it out that these people do it to themselves for what they choose, and they choose an immoral way of living, shamelessly so and without reservations, shaming is just one of the many consequences that occurs.
