Alcantara and his RH Power just hit a HR last night. Looked like he needs more ABs. Idk if we needed a RH OF really. Mets deal we got a great arm if Healthy but you don’t move that prospect who would have headlined a Skubal trade in that deal. Mo Ballestarios to get a controlled RP who has Top Stuff. That’s what you pay, all day. I wasn’t a big fan of the Miami deal tho. That should have been a we send you Wicks our guy who is stuck for your guy who is stuck, and hurt. Johnathan Long I think is going to be really good. You can make 1 of those trades for hurt arms. I thought Gausman we got for a steal. But when you have a list of your own guys hurt who should be coming back (Ben Brown, Justin Steele, Palencia and Edward Cabrera -Cade Horton Jaxson Wiggins are next year. I don’t like trading for 2 more guys on that list. I like everything we did, just think we pry could have not done either the Mets or Marlins trade.
Shelby Miller looks like he could be his old self for us before the end of the year as well. Guy has been forgotten but he was a hurt gamble the Cubs made before and has been projected to come back around now. He’s Shelby Miller so, there’s a good chance he just goes off.
