Do not appreciate all the cuts
I can honestly say, the movie “Battle of the Somme” is as stupid as the movie “Dunkirk”. I thought both movies would be about the soldiers last ditch effort during the battles but they were just about soldiers talking during most of both movies.
Some countries and the people in it just love to kill 💣🧨🔫🪓🩸other humans. Try to control their lives. Try to blame everybody for their problems and spend all their money on weapons instead of farming. Eventually, they will use up the money. The gold will slowly be used up in electronic devices and those devices will be in the trash then they will have to mine the garbage piles, but still no food because the properties that were good quality growing land was subdivided for money 💰 we are almost as a point of killing 80% of everything on the planet so far when will it be our turn?
U get penetrated by a tooth u r dead for sure if u act complacent knowing how compromised allied men’s immune systems were from 1914-1918 from weather, elements & of course no proper consistently dry nor clean habitat
Awful lot of commercials just to see boys walk back and forth in a ditch I mean half way the movie and they just walking and talking with hundred commercials

May be a hot take , but I don’t know if this was the whole movie never seen it until now. But this is not what I expected. It’s a good insight to see what life was like in the trenches during downtime, not sure if it’s even accurate. But I think this movie is kinda ass. Battle of the Somme definitely shouldn’t be the name of this movie. Not much “battle” going on here.

Absolutely BORING flick about British soldiers peeing on the trench sides, and worrying about whether their mate got some strange stuff from women of that sort. A few mins of actual fighting the battle at the very end.

My great grand father fought in the battle of Somme, Royal Indian Army, 19 Lancers, Cavalry regiment, and my great grand uncle was wounded, due to which , I believe his left arm was amputated, but he survived the battle.
The way you present is amazing I enjoyed every second of it.

A month. He survived. he never spoke about what he saw and went thru. We found a diary he kept. It’s very strange and painful to read. Rest in Peace Grandpa Joe❤❤❤😢
