It’s truly insane how massive The Packard Plant is. I’ve gone quite a few times over the years when I lived near Detroit. It’s eerie at times when you’re standing on the ground surrounded by the structure. Like years ago, thousands just came to work here everyday. now all that remains is literally the bones of the structure. It’s actually a cool little spot for some urban exploring, but I think now they are beginning the demolition of the plant
As a Brit – if I ever got had the chance to visit Detroit I would choose to visit these parts over the gentrified areas any day. Even though those houses and buildings are in the state they are I find them beautiful, you can imagine the character and buzz of the community in its heyday (I’m probably biased being a lifelong Motown fan and working previously in the motor industry) Love how different groups are working to build up the areas and bring life into the area again and hope it manages to keep its uniqueness and charm. It looks the kind of place you could stop and chat for hours to people you’ve never even met before. Keep up the great work guys, love to all from across the pond! (those bell peppers by the way in that truck by the way looked yummy as fk lol) xx

Just a few years ago, north of Detroit. “Flint Township” was fighting against being renamed as “Oak Hills” against their will as well. Marketing decision for the name change was intended to disassociate it with the City of Flint.
Bring back Rick McCrank for Season 2, and have him revisit the sites from Season 1 in a special episode.
