I’m the hour hand. I take my time
I’m the shortest and the widest kind
I stay in my hour until the next one chimes
Every day I go around 2 times
And that’s 24 hours

I’m the minute hand, won’t you come along with me
I count the minutes in an hour: there are sixty
I’m the long hand, count the minutes differently
Count by fives, and you’ll be telling time efficiently

Let’s start in the second hour:

30 is the half-hour, 35, 40,
45, 50, 55,
On the 12 at the top, we just say “3 o’clock”

When time feels slow, and I’m screaming IN YOUR EAR!
