The families of Jahara Malik and Yakheim Lollar both expressed their feelings in a tense sentencing hearing on Tuesday. Malik pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing her boyfriend in 2024. Lollar’s family believed that the teen killer was undercharged and wanted her to be sentenced to the maximum. Malik’s family urged the judge to give her leniency.
