definitely NOT Sabalenka on the forehand. i have watched that stroke break down terribly in soooooo many matches across eight years, especially against players that can match or overmatch her pace. it is the one stroke that she cannot rely upon, going shot for shot against several players. people used to talk about Sabalenka’s brittle serve — yet that stroke holds up far better than her forehand.

Gauff definitely moves well she and can cover the court very well but i much prefer Iga’s movement, combined with her flexibility. Iga’s ability to come out of the corners and hit offensively off the diagonals begins with such brilliant movement.

also, like Lindsay, i feel that Iga’s forehand is by far the best in the women’s game — she hits it harder than any player (at top speeds) and can hit to a lot of different trajectories and ^keep ^the ^ball ^in ^the ^court.

    that is somewhat important.

    For the all-time player:
    serve – Serena
    forehand – Stosur (c.2010)
    backhand – Henin
    movement – Clijsters/Graf
    variety – Hingis
    competitiveness – Seles
