Taylor Swift’s ‘The End of an Era’ (now streaming on Disney+) shares what happens on ‘Bonus Day,’ which Taylor says is very important to her. Because the Eras Tour was the most successful tour in history, the pop star was able to present nearly $200 million in bonuses to her crew. In the intimate footage, Taylor handwrites cards to the entire staff thanking them for their hard work, including a six-figure check. Two episodes are now available to watch on Disney+; new episodes stream Fridays.

Finally someone with unimaginable wealth who’s using it for the right reasons – giving back to those who helped get her there – I bet she even pays her taxes too!

That fact that she has to publicize not only the gifting but the total amount takes away so much, tbh. I am not saying it’s incredibly generous (it is) but the publicizing of all that comes off the wrong way. How would the press know it was $197 million unless she wanted that to be publicized. Compare that to another generous performer Keanu Reeves. He has frequently taken care of his staff in very generous ways. The ONLY way an of the leaks out is from one of the people he has been generous to. He isn’t out to get publicity from it. Just an observations. I am sure any criticism will send some Swifties into a tantrum but that’s my take on it.
