Military flyovers mark America’s 250th anniversary
The annual Independence Day Parade in the nation’s capital has been canceled by Washington, DC authorities, due to extreme heat. The parade was scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET on July 4. The heat index is expected to reach between 110°F and 115°F, and the National Weather Service issued an extreme heat warning for DC. The decision was made for the safety of participants, spectators and staff, according to an announcement from DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office.
