Trump-backed Republican Andy Biggs won Arizona’s Republican gubernatorial primary on Tuesday and will face Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs in November. Former NFL kicker Jay Feely won the Republican primary for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District after receiving President Donald Trump’s “complete and total endorsement.” He defeated former state lawmaker Joseph Chaplik and businessman John Trobough. The open-seat race is expected to play a key role in determining control of the U.S. House. As of Wednesday afternoon, the Democratic primary had not been called.
