20K+ Texans under threat of ‘large & deadly’ flood waves
Flash flood emergencies are ongoing as “large and deadly” flood waves surge down the Guadalupe and Pedernales rivers in the same areas of Texas Hill County devastated by a similar flood wave last July. The Guadalupe River at Comfort, Texas, rose more than 25 feet in one hour and topped levels hit during last year’s deadly floods as slow-moving storms dropped several inches of rain in just a few hours.
