We are learning more this weekend as President Donald Trump says he will halt new strikes against Iran for now, citing a reported deal in the works to end the five-month war. Trump made the announcement on Saturday night. An official involved in the peace talks told The Associated Press that the deal calls for reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and halting attacks across the region, including by Iranian-backed militias in Iraq on the Arab Gulf countries and Jordan. Middle East latest: China reportedly sending 400 rocket launchers to Iran 0 (0)

We are learning more after U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said this week that it had redirected 20 ships and disabled two others in the Strait of Hormuz as it continues to enforce its blockade of Iranian ports. “CENTCOM forces continue to strictly enforce the U.S. blockade against Iran,” the command said in a post made on social media.
