At a film screening of ‘Cuba: An African Odyssey,’ moderated by theGrio’s Natasha Alford, actor and activist Danny Glover discussed the importance of defining political projects in the era of Black Lives Matter. “When you’re looking at that and seeing that a black boy’s shot somewhere, a black woman is shot somewhere or something else happens by police… You have to understand the historic nature and lineage of that,” said Glover. “Some people have said, or Hillary Clinton might have said, ‘the trust has been fractured.’ But there never was any trust.
