Stephen Colbert is signing off ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ with surprise guest stars and an extended, hour-and-a-half-long taping. Byron Allen’s long-running syndicated series, ‘Comics Unleashed,’ is set to take over the ‘Late Show’s time slot on CBS, starting on Friday, May 22. Allen tells ET’s Kevin Frazier, he and Colbert went to breakfast together and really connected.

I’m so disappointed in Stephen Cobert’s final show. Wow his ego exploded! Didn’t he get enough sales of his book ever after his wife kissed his ass a few weeks ago. Why couldn’t he honor and thank the hundreds of folks who produced his show and make him look great for the past 11 years? No he wanted to sing with Sir Paul who has done the same thing on numerous shows to promote his album!
