🤦♀️ 🫡 Reluctantly started watching this after much self-debate … not reallly a silent film fan. But here I am, 25 min into it & STUNNED … was NOT expecting such _brilliant_ directing & scripting & acting – & the BEAUTIFUL music is incredibly soothing. Love the furniture & architecture & sets & clothes, too. Should’ve known Mr.PizzaFLIX would only be delivering a high quality film – & the most _emotionally draining_ film to date I’ve watched. Also – am I the only one feeling sorry for sweet, muzzle-kissable Teddy nearly choking in that most hideously uncomfortable dog collar that I’ve ever seen?!? Just wanna rescue him & rip that wide, TORTUROUS, neck-strangling, “collar” off of him & run with him at a lake, flinging a tennis ball for him to chase. Anyway, thx 🍕 ❣️

I thought the same thing: With a collar that wide, the poor thing must have felt quite uncomfortable. He should feel somewhat suffocated!😣😖

As always, a fine performance by Mary Pickford, who produced the film. After she, Douglas Fairbanks, Charles Chaplin and DW Griffith formed United Artists the following year, her films went there. Artcraft was folded into Paramount in the 1920’s. Pickford was lovely enough and used some makeup tricks to play roles younger than she was, and a fine enough actress to have audiences accept it.
