easily one of my top 5 coming of age movies growing up !!
Wow I love the characters in this one… all of them are awesome 👏 however this stupid plot really doesn’t make a lot of f’ing sense… first time watching this and I am 54 … good lord it’s not a good flick

During the scene where Kirby is getting out of the limousine and tells her about his new job as the attaché. She asks him “what about medical school Kirby?“ He’s never gone to medical school. He was going to law school. Oopsie. Just saying. This is my favorite movie of forever and I just tonight caught that.
The plot is ridiculous. Although the characters are so relatable. Good movie overall. The reason why this girl wanted to kill her self is preposterous. I don’t buy that this girl dated one man, then had sex with the other and immediately after that, all of them become friends. Come on.
By today’s standards the mother of five would have had her children placed in foster care. I would have loved to have known her backstory. Was she a recovering addict, did she do time in prison, were her parents addicts or was she abused as a girl as well. Also where are the fathers of these children. 😮😢
