Yeah, I’m sorry but those Langurs weren’t “mourning” the spy monkey. They were simply curious and wanted to see what it was, learn about it since it was so odd. Langurs don’t mourn like that for members of their own troop, they certainly wouldn’t do it for a weird looking monkey not of their troop. Through strategic editing, they made it look like the troop was mourning. But many of the shots they use aren’t even in the same area where the spy monkey was picked up and dropped. They do all of that for dramatic effect. They take “dramatic liberties”, I think the industry calls it.
