I’m kinda surprised there’s no question of how to hold a snake without it biting you.
I almost stepped on a rattle snake doing a very long hike in Florida. I was listening to Avril Lavigne and didn’t hear the rattle until I was just about on top of it. I jumped into traffic and was almost hit. It never struck, but my heart pounded like I’ve never experienced, even during firefights in Iraq.
Funny thing, I was jamming out to Lavigne so much I missed my turn by a half mile and could have avoided the entire thing. It was Seminole territory on the Florida trail. I went on to finish in Canada.
The guy that’s almost hit me laughed and yelled at the snake as his wife hit him and told him to leave the snake alone.
Shave it or hit turkey.
Those snakes are pretty solid
Awesome video! At 15:40 that looks like a central rat snake, and not a racer, which lives in the same area and is often confused by people.
a garter snake crawled up through my basement toilet a few years ago. the cats were NOT. PLEASED.
