Slopaganda has spread far and wide in the midterm elections, and there’s only one question: Can it be stopped? Brandy Zadrozny, a senior enterprise reporter for MS NOW, provides answers in the latest episode of The Deep End, a digital video series about how disinformation is changing your world — from politics to health to culture. Her investigation covers the rise of AI-generated propaganda and President Trump’s enthusiastic embrace of it, the shadowy operatives who used it to swing an election in Florida, and Brandy’s own slopaganda experiment that shows why AI technology is in desperate need of guardrails that protect voters and democracy itself.

Are we serious. Oh my God, we are doomed
We’ll never get regulations that protect people from this administration, they’re only concerned with making money and protecting those with the most wealth.
This kind of thing is why campaigns need to be heavily regulated. Funding must be supplied by the state at a fixed amount for ALL candidates, with no donations or outside messaging allowed. If a candidate cannot hire their team and get their message across effectively with the same funding as their opponent, then they are an ineffective leader and cannot manage money correctly.
Insanity in a political suit! 😕
The Russians have been using fakes on us for years very effectively.
Trump as a Green Lantern? Doubt he has the willpower, and Orange would better suit him anyway!
“What’s mine is mine and mine and mine and mine and mine and mine, not yours!”
This was informative documentary journalism, but it didn’t discuss how to “fight it” at home.
