Black holes are the most powerful objects in the universe. But one stands out as the biggest black hole ever found in the known universe. It’s called TON 618.

Slight correction: 242 billion miles is 0.0417 light years (not 41), so light would take 15 days, not 41 years.
This is still huge!
Oooooo you’re right
I thought that figure was off!
You are right. Sorry about the error. I’m pinning this comment.
Oh good, I was hoping my math was right as well.
If it had a radius of 242 trillion miles, then it would be 41 light years across. But yeah, 242B is only about 15 days. But that’s still nearly 100x larger than solar system. So that’s still pretty big.
Wow a super duper ultra gargantuan mega massive… and very very large black hole😂. I am impressed!
They are not objects…..They are points in Combined Noorismic Space or spacetime where its 3d fabric is forced to spin like in washing machine whirlpool….
earth is the biggest black hole…..lol….ya goofy m8te from australia
What if our observable universe is totally inside of a black hole.
Then we are fucked 😆
So who came up with the idea of a infinitesimally small singularity??!! Black holes get bigger and bigger
Event horizon of black hole is bigger and bigger. Singularity in the “centre” of black hole is infinitesimally small. also, size of black hole is increasing only as long as it’s “eating” nearby material. When there is nothing left, black hole is actually very slowly diminishing which is caused by Hawking radiation (quantum phenomenon).
@galahaaad nobody know what’s in the centre of a black hole. If it was a singularity like scientists claim started the universe, then it would have infinite gravity and collapse the black hole. Black holes are dense not hollow.
There might be black holes we will never find because they are behind boundary of observable universe.
