From “Greenspeak” to “The Warsh Way?” You heard it here first. IBD’s Ed Carson, news editor and resident Fed-watcher, joins the Investing with IBD podcast to talk about the transitory phase, the greatest soft landing you’ve never heard of and why the Fed’s telegraphing might not even matter anyway.
The Investing with IBD podcast is hosted by Justin Nielsen and livestreams on YouTube every Wednesday at 5 PM Eastern/2 PM Pacific.

Great to see “Econ Ed” on the show! Always enjoy listening to what he has to say. Both Ed and Justin are so smart having great insite and knoledge, thanks for the great discussion. I have one constructive criticism though, the volume level between you two is different. To bad YouTube doesn’t have an input volumne control to equalize the volume level of all participants on any of your shows.
While a strong dollar tends to weigh on large-cap and global stocks, small-cap stocks are largely unaffected by it, which seems to be the reason for the RUT’s strength. Also, since the US dollar and commodities generally move in opposite directions, the price of gold is falling. I believe that understanding the cyclical movements of these four asset classes—US dollars, commodities, bonds, and stocks—is crucial for investing, though it is certainly challenging. Thank you very much.
nice work guys
