Shirley MacLaine makes a rare appearance at 92 in a video supporting an upcoming screening of her 1969 classic, ‘Sweet Charity.’ Maclaine tells fans, while she won’t be able to attend the event, she hopes everyone remembers how hard the cast and crew worked while making it. The Oscar winner even teases, ‘It didn’t do very well [at the box office], so I hope you guys like it.’ Maclaine’s largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years. Her last role was in 2022, when she completed a two-episode arc on ‘Only Murders in the Building.’

What I believe she means is that she is dedicating herself to a big movie
and that she herself has lived a more fulfilling life than someone she is
comparing herself to, and that she is far more important
than a person whom she is comparing herself to.
Say, instead of comparing herself to that person,
maybe she could compare herself to the Beast 666 instead.
She is AMAZING, all these years of movies, her incredible ability to embrace a character and act so perfectly, you forget whom the actress is, it’s like you are sitting in a chair next to her acting. Not watching a stage performance literally watching her…THAT’S TOP NOTCH ACTING, if you ask me, then pause in thought, at how real she was on camera all those years…For us to enjoy forever as, life experiences, creativity, fine arts and entertainment…All those raw emotions…❤❤❤❤

Sweet Charity was the dumbest play. I never understood why it’s performed again and again.
