It is cheaper to purchase from China than to make your own clothes. Hand made guilting, sewing is a labor of love. The amount of time, and precise work cannot be monetized. So when our work was sent to China where ppl and children make pennies on the dollar and cheaply made, they can sell for much less. The cost to buy fabric and notions adds up, and yes when you make yourself it is what you want, fits better, length, all correct. So American made in China took over, and we could not compete.
