I think uploading people’s conscious will be tested on prisoners first. Then they will be sent to other planets which have become penal colonies. The prisoners wouldn’t need typical rations and couldn’t survive without getting the energy they would need to survive. This would speed up Tera forming other planets or for use of mining resources. It could also turn into something like the movie elysium. Uploading consciousness like the movie Transcendence would really launch our civilization into space colonization race.

I always thought the scrawny green “alien” with the big head was stupid and fake. However, I don’t agree with this theory either. There’s no reason to assume alien life would be mortal, make use of technology the way we do, or even follow the same patterns of development. I think this whole idea is transhumanist propaganda, because some of the worst people in the world *KlauseSchwab* are understandably afraid to die. At best they might be able to store your memories in a computer at some point in time, but that computer will not be you. Computers don’t think, they follow code.
AI was designed to replace humans on earth not just in space, i wouldn’t be celebrating or getting excited by this. Thinking skynet terminator springs to mind
