I remember having the measles late ‘60s—it was utterly horrific! I was segregated from my brother and sister, I was put on an old army cot we just happened to have, the lights had to be dimmed other wise I might become blind, and my parents and siblings had to keep their voices low, so as not to become deaf. It was the worst of what was then referred to as “the childhood diseases”. Horrendous!!!
