All I know is that double handed backhands are ugly AF.
have you seen federer’s two-handed backhand? he makes it look very beautiful haha
just see the one handed shot and you know that it is much better than double handed because you will have much more freedom to decide where you want to hit it and with how much pace or you want to slice it at the last moment. these double handelers really find it tough to hit down the line and they are so predictable as they keep on going cross court most of the time. It’s pathetic to see them hitting double handed shots. Rafa had to play many long rallies just because of his double handed back hands as he had to be defensive with it. Same with djokovic.
I was self taught. I watched a lot of tape of becker, edberg, sampras, gasquet and federer. I wanted to hit like that. A one handed was more free, more natural, more versatile and more beautiful. There is an easier transition or disguise to slice, and volleys. One old guy i used to hit with at a local park was a one hander. If i had proper tennis lessons i wouldnt have had the freedom and time to feel what felt best and decide to hit a one handed, i wouldve been coached into a two hander.

Also one handed backhand need a strong physical strength to hit back heavy fast ball..otherwise receiver might get injury
The explanation makes sense but not sure anyone would be able to play it as majestically as this guy…
All I’m hearing is that Federer needs to coach someone and have that kid go one-handed
