Robert De Niro and Mark Ruffalo urged Americans to vote and defend voting rights at a New York rally on Sunday, October 4, sharply criticizing President Donald Trump ahead of the midterm elections. Speaking at the New York Society for Ethical Culture, De Niro accused the administration of trying to take away votes as its policies lose support. Comedian Mo Amer urged voters to hold politicians accountable, while Indivisible co-founder Ezra Levin encouraged organizing against what he called “fatalism and nihilism and cynicism.”
