I used to call my mom by her first name for several reasons.
1. If we were in a crowd, I wasn’t going to call for “mom” and have 12 women turn around. 😅
2. If I was trying to tell her something and she was only half listening, I’d say ,”mom, mom are you listening? Sara. I’m trying to tell you something!
Oddly enough I never called my dad by his first name even enough he is by far the more laid back parent. 🤷🏻‍♀️
And before anyone comes for me, our parents raised us to be very respectful. If I had ever said their real names while being disrespectful, it would have been an ass whooping for sure. In fact, even though I’m 40, I’d probably still get a whooping bc I said “ass”. We weren’t even allowed to say “butt”.😂

I’ve seen Kelly’s concerts quite a few times and what you see on the show is exactly what she’s like. Kindness and humor just come so naturally to her.
