I don’t understand all this talk of VAR and it being slowed down, ever since the beginning of television people have been analysing tackles in slow motion. All pundits and spectators have been discussing wrong or right calls by referees exactly because the referee might not have the vantage point. So the only difference is that the referee can see the tackle like anyone else watching on TV. It doesn’t suddently make the tackle look worse than it looked in real time, what a stupid point. In regards to the inconsistency, well ghana should’ve gotten a penalty against englan and everyone agrees, but VAR missed it, it’s not perfect but I’m glad it caught a super reckless tackle that could’ve seriously injured the Bosnia player.
Hmmm. The commentator says “it is a red card,” and “the problem is not that it is a red card, it’s that it’s inconsistent. [as in Messi should have gotten a red card too]” That conclusion from the professional goes against most if not all of the comments here.
its a straight red and could have easily broken bone when the foot is planted like that, disgusting behaviour. what’s more disgusting is your president interfering and having the red card decision overturned. well at least Belgium came in and delivered some karma <3
Jurgen has really lost it.
No shock it was overturned but it’s all political now
It’s not a “controversy” it’s a clear red card. He stepped on his opponents ankle before the ball was even close. No confusion. Serious foul. And you all know it or you would show the clip instead of a close up edited slide show. The card should never have been overturned. You are a disgrace.
