Take a look at the raw footage from today’s first test of IndyCar’s Red Bull Advanced Technologies aeroscreen, the answer to Formula One’s halo cockpit safety device.
Watch the footage and decide for yourself how you feel about the aeroscreen at speed and in action.
Scott Dixon for PNC Chip Ganassi Racing and Will Power for Team Penske are doing the driving duties.

Such a shame IndyCar destroyed its own legacy by coming up with this horrible thing on top of the car.
Aero screen OR HALO…Not both Jesus!.whats next one of those plastic security boxes used for items at walmart..
Sports are exciting because of why? why do people want to travel at 220 plus MPH?
Because it is DANGERO U S !!!! The safety nonsense has just gone so over board..
Next MOTOGP will add training wheels so the bikes cant lean over to far..
The only part that looks off on the car is the mini rear wing. Call me nostalgic. I am used to the 90’s cars. Other than such it looks to be an improvement. I hardly notice it until it’s zoomed in. Hope the helmet cams aren’t too affected(I forgot). Also, I wonder what a ingame VR setup of this will look like.
I have to say the look is starting to grow on me.
The 2019 IndyCar was the most beautiful Formula Car ever. The AeroShield looks much better than the Halo.👍 Though, it sure seems like there’s no room to get out if the car is upside-down.
