Dr. Jennifer Tufts, a psychiatrist who saw Lindsay Clancy in September 2022, took the stand on Friday. She discussed that Lindsay noted having anxiety attacks, decreased appetite, depressed mood, being easily distracted, excessive worry, guilt, unable to feel pleasure, unable to fall asleep, and racing thoughts. Clancy noted that she did not have any thoughts about suicide or hurting other people. Clancy is currently on trial for killing her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, inside the family’s home in January 2023 before attempting to take her own life.

This psy has not a clue… very dangerous prescriber
To be fair I’ve not been watching since Thursday but prior to all that but the emotions with Lyndsay Clancy has been on and off.
If I was in the bother she’s in and if she had bpd and autism like me I’d be hysterical in court.
But the reactions or mostly not reactions have not been consistent of someone either extremely mentally ill or just a bad person.
Prior to me being ill I believe someone said in comments they wondered if she had been told by her lawyer to try and not show too much emotion.
Wednesday she had her head in her hands most of the day.
Witnesses have kept emotions under control who must have been devastated by what she did to her kids.
Ie nanny, father in law,husband.
So she should,how does she think jury copes with this case.
Isn’t she aware or cares that a case like this could make some of jury mentally ill or ruin their lives,jobs,home life etc .
No therapy…no marriage counseling…just meds given…no follow up regularly…lack of everything here to help this woman, family. She still killed… husband gone at the time
I have sympathy for her. But she should have given her kids to foster care and there is no excuse for murder.
Not to diminish the solemnity of this very sad trial, I will say this doctor is both brilliant, soft spoken and very pretty.
