In their opening statement, prosecutors said Maya Hernandez “chose to ignore all of her responsibilities” when she left her 1-year-old son to die in a hot car. Hernandez is charged with second-degree murder.

We are way past the time that people are not just automatically allowed to take their babies home from the hospital…. The humane society puts higher standards on adopting a pet ( rightly so they should ) than we do for people taking babies home from a hospital.
To her… her kids were a cast off product of some former past relationship….these types only care about themselves… not some kid(s) from some long past relationship that ended badly. They are almost a reminder of some guy she probably now hates… so by extension, she has no real feelings for the kids either…. Because they are selfish, immature, and made poor life choices that they no longer want to be responsible for. Just horrendous
Also…. These types main thoughts are about cute selfies on social media…. There is no matures thought process that considers things like safety or good parenting choices…. It doesn’t enter their mindset

I couldn’t imagine poor Emilio sitting in a hot car. I’m a mom to 5 and I’ve sat in a car for less than ten minutes and felt like I was roasting. The car was in an underground parking lot to a mall and I had to open the door for air because I didn’t want to go in. This precious baby couldn’t get cool air. This is disgusting behaviour as a mother.
