Prince Harry is sharing what his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II thought of his and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their royal roles.
In a Monday interview with Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan ahead of the release of his book Spare, the Duke of Sussex spoke about how the Queen, who died in September, reacted when they announced in Jan. 2020 that they would no longer be working members of the royal family.

Harry doesn’t talk about the fact that the Queen and other members of the RF didn’t find out about their decision to step back until they put it out on social media. I’m sure she was more than sad. I would think she was a little pissed off [despite his great relationship with her). Plus, he doesn’t mention nor accept that it was the Queen who said that they couldn’t be part time Royals. When they couldn’t have their cake and eat too, Harry and Meghan lashed out.
Queen Elizabeth was not the best mother in the world. She cared more about her horses and dogs than about her children. The result? A dysfunctional family. King Charles sashays around town with bags stuffed with cash from the Bin Ladens. To avoid a trial for sex crimes, Prince Andrew bought off the victim. Camilla and Charles used, abused, and destroyed Diana. Meghan’s claims of racism are confirmed by recent events at the palace. The royal family is a vulgar melodrama.
