I really disliked this movie from the story to the characters this movie did a lot wrong. The only things that are good are the acting, some of the special effects looked okay, and one action scene was kinda cool. But other than that this movie sucked imo and I grew up with the power rangers:(
I actually loved this movie a lot. I felt like they really focused on the characters rather than the lore.
The movie was so forgettable, most of it was cliche teen dramas (which will always be bad to me personally), it barely focuses around the power rangers (not the team themselves, just the concept), and don’t get me started on the designs (who designed Goldar?)
If the script, plot, characters and overall world presented in the story isn’t done properly then it won’t matter if it’s a well known brand or a fresh new idea: it will fall apart like a house of cards.
PS The X Files WAS absolutely scary and unnerving in the seasons that were filmed in Vancouver.
I remember watching that and many shows in the 90s which were filmed there for it being cheaper and that’s also why you saw the same Canadian actors. It simply fit sci fi or any drama.
Why the X Files changed where they filmed is a bit odd considering all the advantages?

I haven’t seen the movie and I don’t plan to see it, they are simply not the power rangers for me, if I want mature stories that pay a correct tribute to the original series I directly read the BOOM STUDIOS comics.
I’m a huge MMPR guy and a MMPR reboot has great potential but they made it like a blockbuster you can tell they didn’t give a single fuck.
Besides the red ranger this movie could have been “the people of Walmart” very ugly cast.

I really loved this movie and hoped that everyone else would too. But sadly, they didn’t.
