Bad idea. Some players are more prone to this than others. For those whose serves trickle over, it would suddenly introduce a significant new advantage. What’s the problem with either getting another company that you don’t have disputes with, or rehiring the people who used to do it manually? It’s not going to break the bank to employ one extra person per court.
Literally no fan ever complains about the length of tennis matches. Who TF is changing these rules in the name of making the sport “faster”? How about this, make courts fast again? A lot more fans would love to have variety in the court speeds than bloody Wimbledon play like RG. Infuriating to watch tennis authorities committing self goals after self goals.
Dont change the game…..it is fine as is
this is a bad idea. i dont like this at all. i dont even like it in college tennis. this is one of those unnecessary changes that does more harm than good.
go back to old school way of having someone put a finger on the top of the net!
