Call me old fashioned if you will, but the idea of the kitchen in the front part of the house to be off putting.
This is the only house I have seen that I disagree with the layout.
Complete personal preference but I would rather have the fireplace in the family room and I would not want the kitchen the first room off the front entrance. I would have kept the kitchen where it was and opened the space just as you did to the family room with a fireplace.

Dining room wallpaper is pretty when close up but a miss on the walls. A bigger pattern would be nice in that big room.
Not a fan of a fireplace in a kitchen. If you really cook, you know that the kitchen will become warmer to the point of too hot as you use it, rendering the fireplace a completely useless, space sucking beast
