I can appreciate a great horror movie without necessarily being frightened by it, but Obsession was different. The unpredictability and performance left me genuinely uneasy long after it ended, and after decades of horror, it was great to feel that again.

Obsession is the epitome of uninspired, lazy, and most of all predictable filmmaking. Curry Barker is just lucky that people’s standards are so low these days that they think just about anything decent is a masterpiece. Obsession is like watching a long YouTube skit with abysmal dialogue and overly dramatic acting that is borderline comical. The only good thing was Taylor Clemons cinematography, but even that was in lighting only; it still lacked any true form of cinematic scope that a professional film should possess. Fans are acting like Curry Barker is on the level of Denis Villeneuve, which he is not. He simply lacks the talent and vision.
