My Grandmother would read romance novel, and I always thought that reading about romance would just make you mad at your husband, because your husband Never romancing you the same way they do in the books you read.
We used to watch awards shows back in the day of 3 channels and PBS. Nobody would air anything opposite the awards. Being from the Midwest, we had never heard of the movies and actors who won, or did we ever. Nobody watched the Tony awards, as we had 1 theater in the State. None of the good plays, ever performed here. The Grammy’s were like everything else. Then the VMAs arrived. We all knew nearly every video. Rap wasn’t a thing yet here, but the video programming brought it to us. To get a band to come to the State was horrible. Now, we have an events center for the big bands to play. It’s sad to see Foreigner as a golden oldie band.😅
